Upcycling – New products from old clothes
For us, upcycling means more than just recycling. It's about consciously using existing resources, utilizing craftsmanship, and demonstrating social responsibility throughout the entire production chain.
New life for old saris
In Nepal, old, traditional saris are collected and painstakingly handcrafted into new fabrics. These fabrics – Recycle Sari – are created by reweaving existing materials. In this way, old clothing that would otherwise go unused is given a second life.
The result is durable, colorful, and unique textiles used to create bags, laptop sleeves, yoga mats, and other everyday products. Each piece is one of a kind – characterized by its colors, patterns, and the history of its material.
Women's empowerment & fair cooperation
Our recycled sari products are created in collaboration with Local Womens' Handicrafts. This partner company enables women from marginalized communities to learn artisanal skills in textile design and production.
This work strengthens their economic independence, promotes long-term income opportunities, and supports social self-determination. With every product, not only is sustainable production promoted, but the living conditions of these women are also tangibly improved.
Unique due to material and craftsmanship
No two products made from recycled sari are identical. Differences in color, texture, or pattern are not defects, but rather expressions of handcraftsmanship, material history, and individuality. This is precisely what makes these products special.
